nullEDGE FAQ
Straight answers about the free, virtual ServiceNow conference. If something's not here, ask us at [email protected].
Is nullEDGE really free?
Yes. No ticket cost, no travel, no upsell. nullEDGE is a free, virtual ServiceNow conference. In year one, 746 people attended from 47 countries.
Do I need to be a ServiceNow admin or developer to get value?
No. Sessions are built by practitioners and split into two tracks: Practical (you leave able to do something) and Proof (you leave convinced something works). If you work in, around, or with ServiceNow, there's a session for you.
I can't make it live — will there be recordings?
Recordings come after the event. But chat, Q&A, and the hallway only happen live, and that's where most of the value is. The event is Friday, Oct 16, 9am-5pm ET, from your desk.
Why should I attend live instead of watching the recording later?
Recordings capture the session, not the room. Live you get the Q&A, the chat, the hallway conversations, and the chance to ask the speaker your specific question. And you can hop between two rooms — it's your Friday.
How is nullEDGE different from ServiceNow Knowledge?
Knowledge is ServiceNow's official conference. nullEDGE is the community-built one: 15-minute sessions, no vendor pitches, built by admins, developers, and architects in the trenches. It's free, virtual, and you can use what you learn on Monday.
Who runs nullEDGE?
nullEDGE is organized by JB Skunkworks LLC and Jace Benson, a ServiceNow developer and community member. Speakers are practitioners from the ServiceNow ecosystem — the people building on the platform every day.
How long are the sessions?
15 minutes, hard rule. Short enough to hop between rooms. The full-day event runs 9am-5pm ET with two tracks running in parallel.
What are the Practical and Proof tracks?
Practical means you leave able to do it: how-to, real code, steps you take back to work. Proof means you leave convinced it works: real implementations, results, measured before and after.
Do speakers pitch products?
No vendor pitches, ever. The rule is value-first: talks that only work if you buy something don't make the cut. That's part of what makes nullEDGE different.
How many people attend nullEDGE?
nullEDGE 2025 drew 746 attendees from 47 countries with an NPS of 9.6. The nullStack series has run Alpha and Beta editions in 2026, with more events coming.
I want to speak. How do I submit?
The CFP is open at thenulledge.com/speak. Tell us what you'll teach and which track it fits: Practical (able to do it) or Proof (convinced it works).
What do I need to attend?
A browser and a connection. It's fully virtual — no downloads, no travel. Registration is free and you'll get the event link after signing up.
Who should sponsor nullEDGE?
Companies that serve the ServiceNow ecosystem and want to reach practitioners who build on the platform daily. Sponsorships support the free event model. Reach out via the sponsors page.
What if I register and can't make it?
No problem — it's free. You'll get the recordings after the event. But if you can make it live, bring a coworker: the top 3 referrers win a hotel and $500 flight to nullEDGE 2027 in Minneapolis.
